Thabaneng Primary School, South Africa

In memory of Irene (Honey) Honey

Children on school equipmentThabaneng Primary, today considered to be one of the best public elementary schools in Soweto, South Africa, has been a passion of the Honey family since 1996 when Tim and Honey first visited the school. Thabaneng is blessed with an extraordinary principal, Adah Thebe, and staff, but has had tremendous needs ranging from a lack of electricity, bathrooms, books, computers, playground equipment and other resources. Through their work, the Honeys have built an international community of friends who have provided support. As a tribute to Tim and Honey’s work, the school has a logbook where they keep a running record of all the contributions made by friends around the world.

In Honey’s memory, the family requests that tax deductable donations be made to Thabaneng Primary School to support their continued growth and improvement.
